Met Art Cracker

Met Art Cracker

This utility will search Met-Art for free sample galleries and post the results back here. While it searches you can download images from Met-Art free samples, by gallery, model or the lot. Any duplicates will be skipped provided you do not move them outside of the file structure that’s created when they are initially downloaded.

As of June 09 all of Met-Art has been searched and all galleries found. Therefore at present Met-Art cracker does not search Met-Art for additional galleries.

How to use….

Well you can’t really go wrong.

When you click connect the util will start searching met art for unknown free galleries. At this point you can just minimise it or use the image viewer to go through the galleries and download at will.

It should be obvious that you can only use this program when connected to the Internet.

Updates
1.1 Windows Vista and Windows 7 no longer aks you for a Username and Password on every launch
1.1 Now complied for dot net framework 4
1.0 Some galleries have a ‘hidden’ 21st picture that isn’t even displayed on the met-art webpages. This is now downloaded
1.0 Gallery titles are now included in file names.
1.0 *** If you upgrading *** Exiting photos will be renamed to “title x.jpg” where title is the gallery title and X is the pic number. The folder structure remains.
1.0 The ‘Check’ checkbox will cause the downloader to check to see if images with an index of 16+ are on the met art servers when others in the series are found locally. This is mainly usesful for people missing the hidden pic 21 in sets.
1.0 Failed downloads due to connection problems could lead to a hang. This has been resolved
1.0 a couple of possible crash on close issues have been resolved.

0.4c processor no longer maxes out if internet connection is lost (for wireless problems)
0.4c a minor memory leak has been plugged.
0.4c there are multiple download threads if there is nothing left to search. It will pretty much max out your internet connection. 170 pics per minute on my crappy connection!!!
0.4c downloading the lot will download from the currently selected gallery.
0.4b (as of 3/Jul/09) Resume of download ‘the lot’ performs better.’
0.4b Automatic downloading will continue if minimized.
0.4a The page checking routine has been improved to conserve bandwidth and increase speed of searching.
0.4a Only 18 images were being downloaded from the galleries! I did not realise that some; in-fact most galleries have 20 images, this has been corrected.
0.4a Broken images due to connection problems will now be deleted.
0.4 You can download the entire collection skipping existing downloads.
0.3a existing files will be skipped.

You don’t need this program at all, it’s got a nice down loader in it and if you run it over night it’ll probably find a load of galleries, and download a few hundred met art models… while you sleep)

As of May 2010 Met-Art cracker knows more than 94 thousand photos from thousands of galleries, comprising over a thousand models with a download size of over 15GB.

All images within this utility are taken directly from Met Art and I assume copyright of Met Art.

Download version 1.1, You will need MS .NET 4:

Old version, You will need .NET 2 (which you will no doubt have)

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

      • Yacker says:

Ok weird after many times trying it is working fine now. Must have been a connection issue somewhere.

      • Chris says:

My ISP was probably doing some work on the MySQL server. It appears I never put an error check in the serial number checking rountine. Thanks for the comments about the slide show btw :)
